Ty Coch is an idyllic oasis exclusively for grown up's!
Nigel and Maria have been welcoming campers to Ty Coch for 11 years. You will quickly discover we are passionate about hospitality and we really enjoy sharing our beautiful 10 acre small holding with campers who appreciate a laid back, friendly and informal camp site which oozes natural beauty and appeal.
Ty Coch is a wonderful oasis now exclusively for adults, so you won't find little people running about!
There's nothing 'flash' about Ty Coch but if you enjoy traditional camping and enjoy good hospitality and good facilities all within 15 minutes of the two cities of Cardiff and Newport,
you will love Ty Coch. Our camp site is run by our family, with our youngest Son Andre helping out with keeping the grounds when home from University and our eldest Son Chris and his wife Marie who host glamping in our Shepherd's Huts.
We began as a CS site with the Camping and Caravanning Club and have recently extended the campsite and are now a Listed Site with the club, welcoming Members and Non-Members.
Our ethos is simple - welcoming, naturally beautiful, peace & tranquillity and really good value for money!

"golden nugget in the Welsh crown of camp sites."
This site was just lovely, no noise no bother. Great hosts, clean and tidy site and facilities. In 20 odd years of touring this was by far the most pleasant stay. Very close to Cardiff and Newport but rural. This site is the golden nugget in the Welsh crown of camp sites. The fees are very affordable and in return you are looked after by people who care about their campers and the facilities they provide.
If you are looking to party, this site is not for you. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a very beautiful spot within 15 minutes of Cardiff, it is!

"home from home"
Working away from home is stressful! and finding the right place to stay while doing so is not easy. We stayed at
Ty Coch during our contract and it was fantastic. The owners are great, it's peaceful and quiet and to be honest we were really gutted when we were moved by the company up North. If we are in the area again, we will be back, it's a real home from home, and we highly recommend it.

"a wonderful find"
Ty Coch is a wonderful find, you really feel like you are on holiday here, we came for a two nights and ended up staying 11 nights! Lovely and friendly, and although the toilets are not a modern block they are perfectly adequate and the showers are fantastic, this is camping as it should be,
it reminds us of campsites in France, fabulous thanks Maria and Nigel,
